This card works very well in Commander decks that dont let the mana empty from the mana pool, like Kruphix, God of Horizons, or cards that let you untap your permanents, like Seedborn Muse or Wilderness Reclamation

Like Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds, it is a typical example of being able to demonstrate its true value (in a bad way) after a long period of time

Maybe this is an antiquated way of thinking about Magic these days, but it still seems to serve me well in cube
