It is a charming and well crafted wooden box with very nice hand done dovetails and a hinged lid. There is a slot in the lid to deposit communications or ballots. The front of the brown painted box features lovely hand done gold lettering reading, "Communications for Minister." The box likely sat in a church where parishioners could anonymously deposit thoughts, confessions, or suggestions to the
