Grey ash burl and maple veneered construction is used throughout. The chessboard's base is also constructed from quality wooden veneer. Modern fabrication techniques are used, which makes for a chessboard with clean lines and meticulous attention to detail. The ash has a beautiful marbled burl grain that seems to jump when the
